In porous environments, part of the overburden pressure is tolerated by the filling fluid of the voids and accordingly, the compressive fluid is applied to the vacuum well which is called the pore pressure. The amount of pore pressure can vary from hydrostatic pressure to overburden pressure (48% to 95% overburden stress). Pore pressure is one of the important parameters in geomechanical studies and design of drilling operations, especially determination of safe mud window and determination of piping heel points. Therefore, its prediction before drilling or during the drilling process is very important, and if it is accurately estimated it can prevent or mitigate the risks during drilling. The purpose of this study is to calculate the pore pressure by calculating the effective stress and compressibility coefficient from the petrophysical logs and by adjusting the experimental constant value between the rational ranges in the wells studied.
